Verdict This is the longest dual 0pc period in credit card history. However, the balance transfer fee is 0.1 percentage points higher than on the Virgin card – so you have to weigh that up against the extra month you'll have to pay back the balance.
Bad news is that existing Barclaycard customers – all 10.5 million of them – cannot transfer balances onto this card.
Family-friendly investmentsScottish Friendly has launched four tax-free savings products for families. One is for individuals investing for themselves, one is for parents investing for children, another for any adult investing for a child and the fourth allows families to invest together.
They are all Tax-Exempt Savings Plans (TESPs), which require a minimum of 10 years investment in order to benefit from tax breaks, but you must invest between £15 and £25 every month.
There are no exit charges and, unlike the CTF, you can access cash before the child turns 18.

Verdict The products will be invested in the Legal & General UK Index fund – which tracks the FTSE All-Share Index.
Make sure you are comfortable investing in the underlying assets before you are lured in by the tax-free offers of this fund – and remember, the value of your investments can go up as well as down.
Investment bond paying 13.5pcA new six-year growth bond from Legal & General is the latest in a range of structured deposit bonds.
The bond offers investors a minimum return of 13.5pc on maturity – or, if greater, the growth in the FTSE 100 over the period, capped at half of your original investment. It also aims to return your original capital.
The minimum investment is £500, and it can be held in an Isa wrapper up to a maximum investment of £5,340.
There is a 3pc commission payable. Apply through your financial adviser.
Verdict Though this is described as a cash bond, make no mistake – this is an investment into equities and carries all the risks associated with that.
