Annual public service venture to help newborns born into economically challenged situations.  The “Open Your Hearts for Newborns in Need” program will allow the University and its partner hospital, Presbyterian Hospital in New Mexico, to collect much needed newborn items for economically disadvantaged families. 

 In addition to the public campaign, women and men of distinction in each of our communities will begin hosting baby showers for “Newborns in Need.”  The showers will range from private in-home showers to large showers at our campus and at Presbyterian Hospital.  Our goal is simple, the University of Phoenix, Presbyterian Hospital, and our other partners in this endeavor, Univision, St. Charles Boromeo Catholic School, 93.3 KOB FM and H.O.P.E want to help as many economically disadvantaged babies and families as possible. 

  How can you help?   From April 1st to April 30th, we would like to encourage you to host a baby shower to collect new baby items. These gifts will be delivered to Presbyterian at the end of May.  With your help, we are hopeful that we can help over 600 newborn babies by providing their families with a basket full of needed, new baby items. Below is a suggested list of baby shower items.
