The Drums Announce UK Tour

The Drums have announced a full nationwide tour after the release of their new album 'Portamento'.

Well, it's almost here. After enduring a tortuous world tour, losing band members on the process, The Drums are preparing to release their second album.

'Portamento' follows the breezy indie pop of their debut, and promises to be a much talked about release. Set to drop on September 5th, the Moshi Moshi aided release will be preceded by the upcoming single 'Money'.

To preview the new album, The Drums are set to play three intimate shows in London. Taking place on consecutive days, the sold out concert use the Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, Lexington and XOYO venues.

Now a three piece, Jonny Pierce & Co. expand for live performances. Lining up as a five piece, The Drums will preview their second album with a London show before heading out on a nationwide tour.

Announced this morning (August 15th) the shows run across November and December. A comprehensive tour, the shows open with a visit to Birmingham's The Library on November 28th.

Shows follow in Newcastle, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cambridge and more before finishing in Manchester on December 10th. Moving around the country, the tour includes another London appearance on December 9th - this time at the rather more expansive venue the Shepherd's Bush Empire.

A special pre-sale for fans starts 9am on Wednesday (August 17th) via The Drums' official website, before the general sale begins on Friday (August 19th).
